Located right at the first turn out of the Kern Canyon Hwy 178 it is the zero mile marker.The routes are short T.R's (top rope). The routes are not great but they are fine for how close they are to town. One word of warning since access is so easy their are lot's of signs of people. This site gets the rating of "ghetto" this is not a technical term although it is suiting.

No Road Access Issues.

Good for a rainy when you are "jones' in" but for the most part this area could be skipped for something better even if it's just a few more minutes into the canyon.

From Bakersfield just get on the HWY 178 and stop at the turn out at the mouth of the canyon.

This area is not gated.

Camping is not really necessary access is too easy.

Just Park and walk down towards the river. Be careful for broken glass.
