More Beta:

Located approximately 11 miles past Kernville about 69.3 miles from Bakersfield with a driving time of approximately 1 hour and 22 minutes from Bakersfield. The Road Kill Boulder (approximately 30 to 35 ft. tall) can be seen from the road on the opposite side of the road as the Kern River. You park right at the boulder so it requires no hiking. It is a good place to get a little roadside pump on.

Quick Tips:

Good Hard steep routes. We wouldn't recommend driving up just for these although it's a great place to stop off and have some fun while you are cooling down. Shaded in the morning and in the sun from the afternoon on.
